What makes SinfraS unique?

SinfraS is a society for multi-disciplinary thinkers on infrastructure systems. We welcome different disciplines to study infrastructure systems as they offer new perspectives and help to understand how such systems and their complexity work.

SinfraS wants to include all stakeholders on infrastructure systems planning, design, operation and management on an international level. People within similar domains (energy or transportation) can learn from each other and secondly, people can learn from cross sectoral analysis. How are cross sectoral challenges dealt with in different domains? Such cross sectoral analysis supports learning and having a better understanding of the complexity of our current and future infrastructure systems.

By actively connecting people from academia, industry and government SinfraS wants to stimulate applied science that is fruitful for all parties. Working with state of the art knowledge and linking practice with theory is in our view the approach for successful infrastructure planning and implementation.
